Today’s wndow treatments are so varied in style, fabrics and construction, that conventional cleaning methods are not always appropriate. Our on-site cleaning system permits cleaning in the comfort of your home or office. This also provides an option where drapes are difficult to move.
Eastern Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning trained technicians are certified to safely clean your draperies. A solvent or water-based solution is normally sprayed onto the window treatment where it hangs. A mixture of a non-flammable dry cleaning solvent and specially formulated detergent is used for fabric or stains requiring solvent cleaning. For wetside treatment, a solution of water and detergent is used, with the water temperature adjusted as needed depending on the degree of soiling or fabric type.
Once the fabric is sprayed with the solution, the fabric is vacuumed for removal of the solution and soils. The front and back of the window treatment should be cleaned for optimum soil removal and to restore them to their natural beauty. And if there is a lining, that component too should be treated.
